Asia’s most popular travel destinations offer an abundance of adventure, history, and culture. U.S. News has ranked Asia’s top places to visit based on accessibility, local prices and the number of attractions. Vote below to help us make next year’s list. Note: The coronavirus may have an effect on some of the destinations listed below. Before you travel, check with the CDC or the U.S. Department of State. When selecting tours for Intakt reisen, we always consider a coherent concept. It is important to have a local guide and accommodation.

Maldives

The Maldives is a stunning place to visit. Pictures of private villas floating above striking blue waters, white beaches and breathtaking sunsets are all you have seen. You will be amazed at the beauty and splendor of the Maldives, but you won’t fully appreciate it until you visit in person.

Maldivians are popular among honeymooners who seek seclusion, and adventurers who want to dive and snorkel in the deepest parts of the ocean. Tourists looking for relaxation can relax at the island spas. All visitors should spend time exploring Male, the capital of Maldivia. There are many stunning hotels in the region, from overwater bungalows and private hotels to beautiful resorts. It is difficult to reach and stay in this tropical paradise, as there are no direct flights from the United States. You will need patience and plenty of cash. The Maldives, located approximately 500 miles southwest from Sri Lanka in the Arabian and Laccadive oceans, is about the most isolated place you will find. This is just one of many attractive aspects of the Maldives.

Tokyo

Tokyo is best described by the word “animated”. Japan’s megacity is obsessed with anime and constantly buzzes with movement. There are cars zipping along the streets, people walking down the sidewalks, trains humming below the ground, ships coming in and out, and even a few pedestrians clacking down the pavements. Bright lights and loud signs call you to stop, to slow down, to stop your movement for a moment to worship (oops, we meant pay) consumerism. This city thrives on progress and motion.

Tokyo is worth a visit if you’re looking for a place to rest your head. Even though tech-savvy locals might drive past monuments and urban parks every day (except during cherry blossom season when everyone floods green spaces), the museums and historic sites are world-class. There are many things to do here, including shopping, eating sushi, and taking photos. What are you waiting for?! Get moving.

Phuket

Thailand’s southwest island, Phuket, offers a stunning combination of white sands and aquamarine waters. It also boasts limestone cliffs and pure white sands. This island, located in the Andaman Sea, is about an hour from Bangkok. It offers a small piece of paradise with a low cost for all amenities, including accommodations, spa treatments, and boat tours. Its tropical appeal is not the only reason to visit Phuket. You can also enjoy its delicious cuisine (lemongrass, lime leaves and chillies) as well as its rich culture, which is heavily influenced by Buddhism.

Although the island’s beaches have recovered from the 2004 tsunami that ravaged its western coast, killing thousands of people, the tourism industry has also rebuilt. The memorials to the victims are still there, as well as a better warning system in case the area is threatened again.

Bali

All of these terms are synonymous with “heaven”: Shangri-La (Elysium), Arcadia, Utopia, Utopia, and Bali. You can visit Bali, the only difference between them. This Indonesian island is unknown to many travelers. The name Bali conjures up images of a stunning landscape, with towering volcanoes, sand beaches that blend into turquoise waters, and curving coastlines decorated with pagodas. Bali is a place that rarely disappoints, believe it or not.

It will be surprising to see how many visitors enjoy this paradise. The average traveler just stays at the resort’s beautiful oceanfront resort, where they indulge in luxury spa treatments, delectable cuisine, and lazy sunbathing. The island’s temples will delight historians, while adventurers will find new routes up Kintamani’s active volcano. Kuta also offers more fun activities for those who enjoy late-night revelry.
